Jodie Banks

Jodie is a Psychologist registered with the Psychology Board of Australia and is registered with Medicare as a service provider. She has a Master of Educational Psychology from the University of QLD.  Jodie has completed a thesis in the area of Autistic Spectrum Disorder and completed a dissertation on childhood behavioural difficulties while at the University of QLD.

Jodie has a special interest in working with children, adolescents and young adults particularly in the areas of psycho-educational and vocational assessment.  Jodie has experience working with children and youth experiencing anxiety, phobias, depression, behavioural difficulties, family separation and divorce and has worked with children diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome. Jodie also has extensive experience working in the area of vocational guidance.

Jodie has experience working with children, adolescents, parents/caregivers and adults and has worked in employment services.  She has worked in both Government and Private sector settings including work in schools, for non-for-profit organisations and at public health clinics.

Jodie is trained in the Positive Parenting Program and is committed to ongoing professional development and life-long learning. She demonstrates unconditional positive regard for her client’s and strongly believes in empowerment and self-determination.
