Bulimba Psychology is seeking an experienced Clinical Psychologist to work with Children and Adolescents on a sessional basis.
Bulimba Psychology is an established psychology practice based in Bulimba. Clients of our practice usually attend on referral from a doctor, school, or via our marketing activities – mainly Yellow Pages or Yellow Pages Online and the Internet. Bulimba Psychology has recently expanded into larger premises, which are close to the CBD and easily accessible by all modes of transport.
Job Description: The psychologist must have appropriate training and considerable experience in child and adolescent Psychology and providing treatment for issues such as anxiety, behavioural disorders, conduct concerns, and personal challenges (such as grief, worry, adjustment, and bullying). In addition it is essential the psychologist can provide assessment testing for giftedness and learning difficulties, and demonstrate competence in psychometric assessment in the areas of learning disabilities, school readiness, intellectual capacity and emotional or personality difficulties.
The psychologist would require full registration with the Psychology Board of Australia. In addition a Masters degree in psychology would be an advantage and a minimum 3 years experience as a clinical or counselling psychologist would be desirable.
All psychologists at Bulimba Psychology must be able to work well in a small team and operate independently within the framework of our organisation. In addition, there may be opportunities to provide workshops and presentations within the community; Bulimba Psychology is working on developing this aspect of our practice.
