Clinical Psychologist (BA, GDipPsych, PGDipPsych, M[Clin]Psych)

Elyse is a fully registered Clinical Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency and is endorsed as a provider of clinical psychology services under Medicare.

Elyse works from a psychodynamic psychotherapy and dialectical behaviour therapy framework, working both with clients who want short term, specific intervention, and also people seeking longer term therapeutic engagement for deep and sustained change.

Elyse works with adolescents, adults, and couples. Elyse’s professional interests are working with body image issues and eating disorders, as well as supporting women and men with the transition to parenthood as individuals and as couples. Elyse has foundation training in Gottman Therapy for couples. Elyse also supports individuals to create personal change to improve their relationships.

In addition, Elyse works with individuals experiencing major life transitions, particularly supporting young people through the completion of high school and commencement of adult life, as well as adults through the challenges of becoming parents.

Elyse is passionate about helping people make sustainable improvements to their psychological functioning in the interests of improving their lives, and she strongly believes that therapy is not just about removing symptoms, but living a more fulfilled and enjoyable life.

Elyse is currently completing a PhD in how couples experience mental labour as parents.
